Pop-Up Opera Launch
at Independence Mall

On Saturday, June 4, OperaDelaware launched the summer season with Pop-Up Opera at Independence Mall (1601 Concord Pike, Wilmington DE) partnering with Swigg for 3 ticketed wine tastings and Pop-Up Opera performances on our Mobile Opera Stage!

Fun for the whole Family

The Independence Mall Microgala was a great way to introduce children to opera! With bubble machines, a t-shirt cannon, and outdoor activities to keep kids engaged, the whole family could enjoy the Pop-Up Opera experience while guests 21+ took part in the wine provided by Swigg.

Pop-Up Opera is full of surprises! Check out photos from our Summer Pop-Up Opera Launch at Independence Mall, featuring soprano Emily Margevich, tenor Louis Tiemann, baritone Ben Wager, and pianist Michael Lewis.

A massive OperaDelaware BRAVI for our friends at Swigg, BlueBallRoom, and Independence Mall for making the day unforgettable!

We’re incredible fortunate to have some fantastic photographers on the OperaDelaware team. If you’re in the Delaware area and need an event photographed, we strongly recommend Moonloop Photography and Meghan Newberry Photography. They are not just friends of OperaDelaware, but they are friends of this community, and they capture the essence and the joy of our events.
