The Presser Black Box Theater

The Presser Black Box Theater at the OperaDelaware Studios is ideal for small concerts, rehearsals, book readings, meetings, and lessons. This space is essentially a blank canvas and highly customizable. It is our smaller option and makes for a more intimate performance space.

The full measurements of the Presser Black Box Theater are 36 feet by 40 feet. The space features black curtains that cover all the walls and can block out all outside light, rubber floors, and a single-stall bathroom. This space can hold up to 60 audience members and includes a Kawai baby grand piano.

We have many extras to offer to customize your event, including: Customizable lighting, speaker system and microphones,staging platforms, tablecloths and linens, and more.

The base rental price of the Theater is $150-$350 per hour, with set up and tear down at no extra charge. We offer many add-ons, so please let us know what you have in mind! We offer affordable rates for non-profits and long-term rentals that include rehearsals and performances.
