OPERADELAWARE
The 63rd Season 2007-2008

Artist Training Program, January - March, 2008
The Pirates of Penzance

The current Opera Delaware Artist Training (ODAT) Workshop started in January, 2008 and is geared for youths from ages 7 - 17.  It will culminate in performances of The Pirates of Penzance to be given on Friday, March 7 (for Tatnall children) and Saturday, March 8, 2008 (for the general public).

The ODAT program includes classes (such as dance, voice, and set painting) that expose participants to many aspects of a stage production in addition to having rehearsals for the show itself.  Anyone who signs up is in the show, although there are internal vocal evaluations” for parts held on the first day of class.  The classes are held at Opera Delaware’s Studio (downtown Wilmington, near the train station), and the show is held at the Tatnall School.

Most of the rehearsals are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1pm until 5pm (the exceptions are the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening dress rehearsals).  The program dates and times are as follows:
